Showcase Sunday #2

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Book, Biscuits and Tea
The aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag
and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought
in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week.

Won:

Yay! Last month I won a pack full of swags at Jen Big Heart!
Isn't this awesome? I'm pretty obsessed with bookmarks and book goodies so
I'm so glad I won this contest! ^^

From Goodreads:
Twenty-year-old Ward de’Ath expected this to be a simple job—bring a nobleman’s daughter back from the dead for fifteen minutes, let her family say good-bye, and launch his fledgling career as a necromancer. Goddess knows he can’t be a surgeon—the Quayestri already branded him a criminal for trying—so bringing people back from the dead it is.

But when Ward wakes the beautiful Celia Carlyle, he gets more than he bargained for. Insistent that she’s been murdered, Celia begs Ward to keep her alive and help her find justice. By the time she drags him out her bedroom window and into the sewers, Ward can’t bring himself to break his damned physician’s Oath and desert her.

However, nothing is as it seems—including Celia. One second, she’s treating Ward like sewage, the next she’s kissing him. And for a nobleman’s daughter, she sure has a lot of enemies. If he could just convince his heart to give up on the infuriating beauty, he might get out of this alive..

Thanks to Dany from Refracted Light Reviews! ^^

Bought:

Today I visited one of my favourite bookshop in my city,
and I found these two books, that are used; I paied them half the
original price and, being sincere, I love books that have been
read by other people (:
Plus, I've never read something from Jodi Picoult!

From Goodreads:

Time matters very little when you're dead. I discovered this intriguing fact after being tortured and stabbed to a tree in the strange land of Meric, a place where I discovered my unbelievable powers and experienced an adventure far more amazing than I could have ever imagined.
Now that I'm dead, I find myself stuck in my past, 1991 to be exact… or am I actually dead? Perhaps my adventure to Meric had just been a dream. My unbelievable destiny, all of the friends I made, and even Shaw, the man I fell in love with… just a dream?

From Goodreads:

Jayne Sparks, a potty-mouthed, rebellious seventeen-year-old and her best friend, shy and bookish Tony Green, have a pretty typical high school existence, until several seemingly unrelated incidents converge, causing a cascade of events that change their lives forever. Jayne and Tony, together with a group of runaway teens, are hijacked and sent into a forest, where nothing and no one are as they seem. Who will emerge triumphant? And what will they be when they do
So, it was a pretty awesome week! ^^
